I'm a board member of the Friends of the Makiki Community Library and we got some bad news yesterday.
For the second time in as many months, a vandal or vandals broke into the library. This time they really messed the place up. Thankfully nothing was stolen, but we will have to close on Wednesday for cleanup. I'm putting this out to my network and ask anyone who might know anything about this or noticed anything around the library at Makiki District Park over the weekened.

Makiki Community Library is a private library funded by donations and is not part of the Hawaii State Public Library System. Incidents like this take a tremendous toll on our very limited resources.
